Evaluation of Abstracts and Papers (Oral/Poster Presentations) 
• All submissions will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee through a double-blind peer-review process. The identities and affiliations of the authors will be kept confidential during the review process. Each submission will be reviewed by at least two referees.
• The evaluation results will be communicated to the corresponding authors via e-mail.
• Acceptance letters will be sent by e-mail to the authors whose submissions are accepted.


 General Rules for Oral and Poster Presentations

  • Abstracts must not exceed 300 words.
  • Abstracts submitted to the symposium must be prepared in both Turkish and English.
  • Since the author information entered into the system will appear exactly as provided on the certificate of participation, authors are requested to enter their titles and institutional affiliations accurately.
  • Full papers must be prepared in either Turkish or English and submitted together with a similarity report.
  • Each participant may present a maximum of two papers at the symposium. An additional fee will be charged for a third paper. Poster presentations must conform to the dimensions specified in the symposium guidelines.
  • The presenter must be an author or co-author of the submitted paper.
  • Certificates of participation will only be issued to presenters who deliver their presentations.
  • Participation in the symposium is possible with an abstract submission only; submission of a full paper is not mandatory.
  • Oral and poster presentations will be conducted face-to-face.
  • The deadlines and rules announced on the symposium website shall apply to the submission of abstracts and full papers.
  • Abstract files must be named in the format: “firstname-lastname-umyos2026”.
  • Submitted papers must not have been previously presented or published elsewhere.
  • All manuscripts must be prepared using Times New Roman, 12-point font, single line spacing, and justified alignment. All pages must be numbered consecutively.

Poster Presentation Guidelines

  • Posters must be prepared in portrait orientation with dimensions of 70 cm (width) × 100 cm (height).
  • The poster title must be written entirely in capital letters, bold, and in a font size between 44–50 pt.
  • Margins of 2 cm must be left on the top, bottom, right, and left sides.
  • Author name(s) must be bold and between 24–36 pt.
  • Author affiliation(s) must be between 20–28 pt.
  • The name of the presenting author must be underlined.
  • Section headings (Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, etc.) must be written in capital letters, bold, and between 24–30 pt.
  • The main poster text must be between 24–32 pt.
  • Text should be justified.
  • Posters should use clear and readable fonts such as Times New Roman, Arial, or Verdana.
  • Appropriate line spacing may be used to improve readability.
  • References should be written in a font size between 14–18 pt and should not be bold.
  • References must be cited in the text using the author-year system and listed in the reference section.
  • Visual elements such as graphs, tables, drawings, figures, and photographs should be emphasized in poster presentations.
  • There are no restrictions regarding color usage. High-resolution photographs, tables, graphs, and illustrations may be used.
  • Posters will be presented on the dates and times specified in the scientific program.
  • Poster presenters are expected to be present at their posters during the designated presentation period to provide information and answer questions.
  • Participants are responsible for printing their posters in color and bringing them to the symposium venue. Fastening materials (pins, adhesive tape, etc.) will be provided by the Organizing Committee.
  • Posters that are not removed by their owners at the end of the symposium will be collected and removed by the Organizing Committee.
